Natural remedy for Haemorroids
10.15
Haemorroids are inflamed and swollen varicose veins in the rectum and anus. The varicose vein ruptures and then starts bleeding after becoming stretched. This results in itching, rectal bleeding, irritation, inflammations, pain and burning. Haemorroids can be internal or external; the internal hemorroids are painless and go un-noticed, but prolapsed haemorroids collapses on the outside. With External haemorroids, you can feel and see the bluish-purple lumps.
Natural Haemorroids remedies
1. Fiber- they provide haemorroids relief by reducing the anal bleeding and other haemorroids symptoms. The fiber increases the fecal bulk, while soften it, thus reducing the strain. The main sources of fiber include vegetables, whole grains, Psyllium, ground flax seeds and fiber supplements. Just take a tablespoon of psyllium in water followed by a glass of water. Ensure you drink enough amount of water to prevent the constipation from worsening.
2. Bioflavonoids- this is a plant compound that works by strengthening and stabilizing the walls of the blood vessels thus reducing inflammation. This hemorroids remedy acts by reducing anal pain, discharge and discomfort during an acute-haemorroid attack.
The main bioflavonoid sources include diosmin, citrus fruit, oxerutins and herperidin.
3. Witch hazel- this Haemorroids cure is created using the backs and leaves from a plant referred to as Hamamelis Virginiana, and is applied on the anus. Use cotton to apply witch hazel on your anal area thrice a day. Witch hazel acts like an astringent and reduces haemorroids bleeding. It also reduces itching, pain and swelling caused by hemorroids.
4. Aloe vera gel- when it you apply this on the anal area directly, it reduces the burning sensation and the haemorroids pain.
5. Lady’s mantle- another haemorroids remedy is the lady’s mantle. Just brew a warm and strong tea with lady’s mantle then apply it directly to the hemorrhoids using a cotton ball many times a day. This acts mainly on the external haemorrhoids and reduces the swelling.
6. Butchers broom- this plant is also called box holly, knee holly has been used in Europe to cure varicose veins and haemorroids. This plant is used mostly when there is a poor blood circulation within the veins. Butcher’s broom has been proven by scientist to contain vein constricting and anti-inflammatory properties. It acts by improving the integrity and tone of the veins while shrinking the swellings.
This haemorroids remedy is prepared by mixing a teaspoon with hot water for up to 15 minutes and is extra effective when applied as a compress or ointment.
7. Horse chestnut- also called Aesculus hippocastanum is recommended for vein circulation. This haemorroids relief acts of the inflammation, swellings while strengthening the walls of the blood veins.
Horse chestnut can be applied directly, in capsule form or taken as tea. Individuals allergic to chestnut should not use it.
8. Haemorrhoids cream like H-care haemorroid relief cream- most haemorroid medications are either in suppository or cream form. This are both used for external haemorrhoids and none has been approved by the FDA for internal haemorroid. The active ingredients include horse chestnut extract, and witch hazel among others.
Haemorroids alternative cures include sitz bath where by you just sit in warm water for fifteen minutes several times daily, and application of a paste of zinc oxide or petroleum jelly to the anal swollen areas.
Haemorroids – What to do?
10.14
Those of you that have tried a number of different haemorrhoid solutions will be familiar with how they are all used. But did you know what they do for your body and how they actually treat the haemorrhoid? If you want the raw and uncomfortable truth, then read on!
Creams and Ointments
This is a very popular type and is used by applying a topical treatment onto the outer rectal area with the aim of soothing the blood vessels. This reduces the swelling of the haemorrhoid by relaxing the tissue, meaning the haemorrhoid is less likely to flare up again. However, this only provides temporary relief so no amount of this cream will make the hemarrhoids disappear and you will only have to suffer flare ups again in the future.
Suppositories
Another popular form is the suppository. This delivers moisture to the haemorrhoid by inserting the suppository inside the rectum creating a lubricating effect the next time there is rectal pressure. The idea here is prevent any further rupturing allowing the haemorrhoid time to heal. Suppositories are certainly worth considering, however, although they can work well for some people there are others who still suffer despite having used them.
Pills to regulate blood pressure
The effect of these pills is to regulate blood pressure and so tightening the vein tissue. This reduces the likelihood of the haemorrhoid becoming irritated. However, blood pressure regulation tablets can have side effects but despite this, the large pharmacies actively promote them as swallowing a pill is a lot more socially acceptable than what the other 2 previously discussed remedies require you to do!
So, what do to? Well, this will be the argoument of next post.
Haemorroids – Why people may become affected
10.12
Did you know that at least 40% of the adult population will, at some point, be affected by Haemorrhoids? This affliction is the result of inflamed veins in the lower rectal region of your body.
So how do you know if you have Haemorrhoids? Any one of the following is a likely signal that you are suffering from this common but annoying and embarrassing condition:
- Blood on your toilet paper?
- Itching in your anus area?
- Pain during constipation?
In the more advanced stages, these Piles can become a ‘lump’ outside your bottom. So how do you get them? Here are three of the most common causes so avoiding these will help relieve the problem:
Mistake #1: Eating too much processed food
The Western diet is full of processed food and that’s because it’s delicious! However, this type of food creates havoc with the human digestion system and can cause constipation. This is a known cause of Haemorrhoids, so one of the first things to do if you suffer from them is to reduce the amount of processed food and sugars you are eating.
Mistake #2: Sedentary lifestyle
A lot of extra pressure is created on the bottom area if you are sat down for long periods. This creates the ideal conditions for haemorrhoids to develop. Together with any extra stress on the lower body area, such as that brought about from pregnancy or being constipated, will further exacerbate the haemorrhoids. The key here is to keep the blood flowing around the body, so stretching regularly and making sure you do not sit still for periods of longer than 1 hour will help.
Mistake #3: Intake of processed medication and creams
Like processed food, processed medication and creams, including fiber supplements, can encourage haemorrhoids to develop. These creams contain artificial additives that only treat the symptoms and not the problem and can create side-effects elsewhere.
The result is that these creams become an expensive distraction that will not solve the problem of haemorrhoids, meaning they will only get worse over time.
Haemorrhoids are unpleasant enough so by keeping active, eating well and avoiding processed foods and creams, you should be able to stop your haemorrhoids getting worse.
So, what kind of treatment is really effective? Follow me, I will talk you about that in the next post.
